Nursery
Our morning Nursery, for 26 children, is open from 8:55 am to 11:55 am. In September 2025, we introduced our new 30 hour+ Nursery offer, providing 30 hours of nursery, lunch and lunchtime supervision. In addition, we offer wrap around care for our nursery children starting at 7:45am and ending at 5:45pm. Further details of the arrangements and funding options can be found on our admissions page.
The Nursery is part of our Early Years Base, led by Mrs Riley and her staff team. Mrs Ezame and Miss Weeks work in the Early Years Team. The Nursery teacher is Miss Browne. The nursery is based on the St Paul's Site.
We plan our curriculum using the Development Matters document, with activities linked to the children’s interests and broad half termly themes. Examples of our themes include: Traditional Tales, Superheroes and God’s Big Beautiful World. We take the children out into the local area as often as possible and encourage the children to explore and be confident in their local environment.
Our daily timetable is flexible with a mix of adult directed, whole class teaching sessions and independent learning times. Children are encouraged to be independent in their choice of activity, both inside and outside and to select, use and tidy away their own resources.
We actively take part in whole school events including St Paul’s Week, Book Day and Sports Day.
