Year 6 Spelling Bee

Year 6 took part in the first Spelling Bee of the year during the last days of the Autumn term. They have been preparing hard for the competition, both in class and at home. We were so impressed by their enthusiasm and pleased that everyone participated in the first round.
The children all did brilliantly, and it is obvious that they have been practising their spellings a lot. Eventually the finalists were narrowed down to 5 and they had to complete an extra round as they all scored 10/10! When we were left with 2 contestants, they were so evenly matched that it had to be called a draw!
Well done to all of Year 6 for their efforts, and congratulations to our 2 winners! We can’t wait for the Spring Spelling Bee!
