Understanding Fractions in 3C

In maths, we’ve been learning about fractions. To understand it and apply that knowledge in real life, children were given a task called ‘Fair Feast’. In this task, they were supposed to share different food items with different children and answer fraction questions. For example, share 6 tomatoes,12 sausages,1 pizza between 3 children. What fraction will each child get? Children found it more enjoyable because working with others enables them to pool their ideas and see problems from different perspectives.
By working in groups students learn interactively and efficiently to solve fraction problems by thinking critically.
