Soil Detectives in 3R

This morning in 3R the children have been exploring and investigating different types of soils.
The children found a variety of different things including an ant, a centipede and a woodlouse. They confidently identified that they had a sandy soil by following clues about its properties and looked at a clay based soil which they were able to push into clumps.
The children have really enjoyed our work in Science this half term and finding out about the three types of rocks and how fossils are formed.
