Reception release their butterflies

On Friday, Reception took a pause in their busy day to release their butterflies.
Over the last 3 weeks we have patiently watched them develop from tiny caterpillars into big hairy caterpillars, into cocoons and finally into 5 beautiful butterflies.
The children were amazed at how quickly some of them flew out of the net and supported the others by chanting 'be brave butterflies'.
This has been a wonderful experience for the children and they are looking forward to seeing more butterflies in the park over the coming months.
