Official Opening of Water Fountain

This morning Year 3 joined the wider community to celebrate the reopening of the restored Victorian water fountain in St Paul’s Recreation Ground. The Friends of St Paul’s Recreation Ground, St Paul’s church, Brentford School for Girls and the Heritage of London Trust joined councillors and the community for a reopening over 130 years after the fountain was inaugurated for Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee.
The ceremony ended with all of our children filling their reusable drinking bottles from the fountain with freshly drawn water as the church bells rang and the children from Brentford School for Girls sang.
