Clay Creations in 2V!

2V created memorials for Florence Nightingale out of clay! We first looked at the different kinds of memorials that you see (plaques, statues, carvings showing scenes from a person's life, etc). We thought about different symbols that represented Florence Nightingale and her work and how we could create something that would help people remember her. To bring our ideas to life, we carefully moulded clay and added detail by using different clay-carving tools. We found that plastic forks and paperclips are great detail-adding tools as well! Many of us have decided that if we could put a life-sized version of our memorial somewhere, we would want it in Central London.
