Church Assemblies

Every week the children in Years 3-6 attend St. Paul’s Church for our assembly. The children in Years 1 and 2 enjoy a visit from the Clergy within school on the same morning. It is always a wonderful opportunity to gather together in the presence of God and share teachings and stories from the Bible, songs and prayers.
Children are invited to come up and share their own prayers of thanks and prayers asking for help. I am always struck by the sensitivity, kindness and wisdom all of our children show when leading us in prayer. During the service some children also read a passage from the bible, which links to the theme of the assembly. This week the reading was shared brilliantly by some of our older pupils.
