Good roots run deep

October is Black History Month, so 1L have been talking about the importance of black role models. 

Since October is also the time of the Harvest Festival and the focus of RE this term has been on Creation, 1L were already discussing 'food' and our responsibility to look after people and the planet. It therefore seemed fitting to discuss the work of Marcus Rashford. 1L discussed Marcus Rashford's life, poverty, food banks and his campaign to feed children.
