2B measure objects in metres

In our maths lessons this week, 2B have been looking at metre sticks and measuring how long certain objects are in our classroom. They had to decide which objects to measure with a metre stick and which to measure with a small ruler and why. They had great fun exploring who was taller than a metre and they then worked together to find out how much taller than a metre they were by mixing metre and Centimetre units together. Great job 2B!
