Year 4 Maths Challenge
Today 4L went to the Blue school to participate in a maths challenge with their year 4 classes.
The event started with a multiplication hunt outside, involving the children finding matching pairs for multiplications scattered around the playgrounds. After having a break all children took part in a timed multiplication test. Those achieving 73 or over went though to the next round. The second round involved 11 from each school competing to be the first to answer a question correctly. From this round 4 from each school went through to the third round answering questions with no hesitation in 6 seconds. For the final round 2 children from each school went against each other to answer quick fired questions. The final round was very tough, but St Paul’s won by 1 point.
Huge congratulations to 4L in your multiplication knowledge and great sportsmanship today. You were a credit to St Paul’s.
