Good roots run deep

Year 3 have had a wonderful curriculum enrichment day today which was all about animal encounters. We begun the day with the children using their sketching skills from Topic last week using pencils, oil pastels and charcoal. They created their favourite picture of an animal using these. They then took on the fact hunt where they needed to find the habitat, appearance, diet and other interesting facts about lions, giraffes and rhinos to name a few. The children then got to play the game Which Animal was it by Mr Horry reading out facts about the animals and the children using their knowledge to decide which animal it was. In the afternoon we had our workshop where we met a hedgehog, snake, millipede and more!​
