What a wonderful end to Victorian Week!

On Friday, Reception had the most amazing day celebrating all things Victorian.

We began with a costume parade, which saw the school come together to show off their outfits.

We then spent time investigating Victorian toys and were lucky to have some actual examples to look at. The children were so intrigued by the toys, especially the dolls and spent a long time feeling the china and looking at the detail on their faces.

In the afternoon we had a go at making our own examples of a doll using wooden spoons and fabric. We also had a go at making a cup and ball game using plastic cups and string.

We capped our afternoon off with a yummy slice of Victoria sponge cake, which definitely hit the spot!
