Ash Wednesday

On Wednesday children in Years 3-6 visited St. Paul’s Church for a special Ash Wednesday service, led by Sarah and Chris. We learnt why Ash Wednesday is so important and why people can choose to be ‘ashed’, to remind us that we should admit when we are wrong, ask God for forgiveness and consider how to live in a positive way.
Children were invited up to receive a cross in ash and we then prayed and worshipped together.
