To continue our topic of ‘Portraits of the Queen’, the children were asked to sketch a portrait of themselves as a Queen or King. First the children were asked to take photograph of themselves using the iPads. Then they then used that photograph as a reference to sketch their own self-portraits. The drew their portrait in pencil first and then used watercolour paints to add the colour. The children were reminded that they should make constant references back to their photograph in order to create an accurate portrait.
