Year 2 step back in time
On Thursday, Year 2 had an amazing trip to Syon House to help prepare us for our upcoming topic. We spent the morning walking around the gardens and the conservatory, luckily the weather was on our side and we managed to stay dry! The children enjoyed explored the conservatory, looking at different plants and drawing pictures of them. In the afternoon, we were given a private tour around the house. We spent time in the drawing room, the long hall and the kitchens. The children throughly enjoyed this part of the tour and they asked a great deal of wonderful questions. The guide was impressed with how engaged the children were as they asked lots of interesting questions about the history of the house. The children had superb day and throughly enjoyed it!
