At the end of March, a number of our pupils, who have been learning to play brass instruments at school with a teacher from the Hounslow Music Service, travelled to Corby in Northamptonshire to take part in the national junior brass band competition. These pupils attend the Hounslow junior brass band on Wednesday evenings. The performance, as you can see in the video clip, was amazing. We are very proud of our budding musicians and are grateful for the support and encouragement that Hounslow Music Service provides for our school. As well as peripatetic brass lessons, we have peripatetic ukulele lessons. These build on specialist recorder teaching for all pupils in Year 4 and our high-quality music lessons for every class in the school, delivered by class teachers using the Charanga scheme of work.
