Thinking about shapes in Reception

This week in Reception, we have been thinking about 2d and 3d shapes.
We received a letter from the giant (of Jack in the beanstalk fame), who was worried that he was going to lose his magic harp. He set us the challenge of building a castle in which he could hide the harp from Jack.
We spent a long time building and rebuilding our castle, making sure that the harp was hidden away. We faced lots of challenges, including how to stop the wind blowing the roof off!
We then used 2d shapes to create our own pictures.
