Science in 3C

Year 3's new Science topic is 'Light and Dark' where the children are looking at light sources and understanding what reflection is. We've investigated which surfaces reflect light.
The children have been asked to help design a new book bag with a reflective strip. They needed to find the most reflective material for the bag. First they made predictions about the different materials. After that they worked together, using their reflection tester, to test the reflectivity of the different materials on their tables. The children put the materials in order from most reflective to least reflective. They also wrote a conclusion and gave some reasons for why they chose the best material to make a reflective strip of a bag.
