Good roots run deep

​This week Nursery are reading the story Jack and the Beanstalk. 

We are going to grow our own beanstalks. We have "planted" them on wet cotton wool in plastic cups. 

We talked about the fact that plants need water and sunlight to grow and we are also running an experiment to see how the beans will grow in different conditions. We have placed one set of beans in a dark cupboard, filled one cup with lots more water than the others and one with no water at all. We are growing our beans inside but we have also placed one outside to see if it grows differently to those inside and have also placed one cup right over a radiator. 

We can't wait to see how our beans grow.
