Final Bomb Shelters

5/6L finished their Bomb Shelter projects this week and were very proud of their team achievements. The shelters were very different in style: some children chose to create Anderson shelters and others opted for a similar shape to Morrison shelters. The teams considered carefully how to create their roof so that their structure was protected, and even created furniture to go inside!
At the end of the week we tested the shelters to see how they would withstand 'bombs' during an air raid! We were surprised (and pleased) at how well most of the shelters coped with the 'bombs' and although many of them took minimal damage, many also remained standing! Well done 5/6L!
