This week in Eco Club we started preparing the tyres ready to paint and make into planters for our school garden over the next few weeks. Once we had finished our designs, we decided to make the most of the milder weather and do some litter picking on the school site.
It was lovely to see how keen the children were to tidy up the area (litter pickers always seem to be fun!) and they did a fantastic job in a short amount of time. It was clear that many of the children understood how such a small task can have a big impact on the way our school site looks but also how it could potentially help keep local wildlife safe too.
