Curriculum Enrichment Day in 2B
We had a fabulous day today in 2B. It was Curriculum Enrichment Day so the children completed a selection of various activities based around the topic of junk percussion. In the morning the children made their own instruments out of recycled materials. The children could choose the instrument that they wanted to make. Some made shakers, a piano or microphones. The most popular instrument was the guitar. After lunch the children decorated a biscuit with a musical theme. The children were encouraged to use icing sugar, laces and silver balls to help decorate their biscuits. In the last session, the children took part in a junk percussion lesson. They were encouraged to play the drums, shakers and the bells to a beat. We made our own music. It was great fun!
