Challenging Discrimination

Posted by Mrs Little on 03/02/23 at 07:55 PM

In RSHE 6L have been learning about Discrimination: what it can look like; how it can impact people, and how we might safely challenge it in our daily lives. The children have showed great sensitivity and understanding of the issue and can identify situations where there might be discrimination.

To bring this learning to a close, the children were inspired by Martin Luther King Jr. to write their own 'I have a dream' speeches about a world they would like to see- a world where we are truly equal.

I was blown away by the speeches, and wish I could show all of them as the children put so much effort into them. Their speeches and ideas are powerful and moving. I think we have some future world changers in 6L!
