Budding Artists!

In 6KL we have been exploring the seascapes of Turner. We spent some time looking at different pieces of his work and considering the techniques and materials used. We then chose our favourite seascape from the National Gallery and then sketched and painted our own versions.
To create our own 'oil paints' we mixed powder paint and washing up liquid and were really surprised by the effects! It added lovely textures to our artwork and we had some (quite messy) fun mixing and blending colours.
The final results were fantastic and very effective- what can you see in our paintings?
