6KL celebrate Queen Elizabeth II

6KL had a fantastic day on Friday to commemorate the upcoming Platinum Jubilee. To begin with we found out more about the life of Queen Elizabeth II, creating a presentation about her 7 decades of reign. The children were surprised by many of the things they discovered, including the Queen's role in WW2 and all of the countries she has visited. We then used our research to help create collage portraits of the Queen, using words and images to reflect her life.
In the afternoon we enjoyed a wonderful Street Party where the children indulged in some delicious food and loved waving their flags to the National Anthem before dancing in the confetti from the confetti canons! It was a fun and fitting way to celebrate the Jubilee.
