2V Explore the Tower of London

Last Wednesday, 2V had a magnificent time exploring the Tower of London!

From Brentford, we took the train to Waterloo and then got on the underground. When we came out, we walked along London Bridge and then along the River Thames. We saw so many landmarks we have learned about, including The Shard, The Gherkin, The London Eye (from a distance) and had a wonderful view of the iconic Tower Bridge!

At the Tower, we admired the crown jewels, went to the spot where many influential people met their unfortunate end, talked to the ravens, learned about the LEGEND of the ravens, explored a medieval king’s bedroom and then took part in a Great Fire of London workshop. Throughout our visit, we also saw many wire sculptures of animals, reminding us that years ago, wild animals lived at the Tower of London too, though they unfortunately weren’t taken care of properly.

Take a look at some of our pictures from the day!
