Year 6 Transition Service
This morning Year 6 travelled to the St, Francis of Assisi Church to join with The Green School, The Blue School and St. Richard's for the Hounslow CofE Schools Joint Service. This was a special service on the theme of thanksgiving, with a focus on Year 6 pupils joining with some Year 7 pupils to mark their upcoming transition to secondary school.
Each school had a theme to explore; for us, we shared on Creation and nature. For this the children wrote poems about the world around us, thanking God for all He has created and sharing what we appreciate about nature. These poems were embedded with passages from Genesis 1. All of the children who performed were fantastic, speaking clearly and confidently, and their poems were incredibly thoughtful. We were very proud of them and all of their hard work towards today's service.
