Year 6 Canal Visit

On Friday 26th June Year 6 spent the morning at Brentford Lock. The class enjoyed a guided canal walk. During the walk the children completed spotter books; they looked inside the old Toll House; saw the locks in use; and walked up the canal to see the wildlife and learn about some of the canal history. The walk began with a safety talk. The children really enjoyed finding out about some of the amazing history of our local area. We were all surprised by how clear the canal water was. We thank the team of volunteers who kindly gave up their morning to show us around. For more photos visit our gallery.
