Watermans Park Planting

Today the School Council Representatives from Years 4 and 5 were invited to take part in a special planting event at Watermans Park. The event was to help launch the recently developed park and playground and was run by the local council.

The children were tasked with planting some Daffodil bulbs that will cover the grassy area near the playground. They were all very excited to be able to help create the garden and can’t wait to see them growing in the early Spring. Between them, the group managed to plant an incredible 300 bulbs!

After the planting we explored the new park, counting the bird-boxes we could find and taking in the view. (And of course, we had to test out the new playground for a few minutes!)

It was lovely to be invited to take part in a local project and the children were enthusiastic, great at planting and generally brilliant!
