Visit to Brentford Library
Last Thursday, a group of Year 1 and 2 children visited Brentford Library together with some of their parents. The children met the librarian, who explained how to use an index to look for books. A couple of children looked for books on dinosaurs by finding the book reference number under ‘d’ for dinosaurs. The librarian also gave the children a date stamp to play with. The children had lots of fun reading books and making bookmarks to take home. They also listened to a story about a naughty rhinoceros, which they found very funny!
If you would like to join Brentford Library, please ask the staff for a form to fill in. You can take up to 6 books out for up to 3 weeks per library card.
