View of the river

This morning, Years 5 and 6 walked down to Strand-on-the-Green to sit by the river. Despite some windy conditions at times the weather was kind to us and we enjoyed sitting in the sunshine sketching what we could see. We paid close attention to Kew Bridge and the river banks, as well as exploring language to describe the view.
We will be using these ideas in our upcoming English and Topic lessons. It was lovely to be out in the fresh air and work in our sketchbooks.
