The Stormy Rescue

Year 6 are continuing to explore the text ‘The Midnight Fox’ in our English groups. Today we learnt that the main character has a choice to make: will he try and rescue the trapped fox cub or leave it there so his Uncle doesn’t become angry?
The children predicted what they thought might happen next and were great at justifying their opinions. We then went into role as Tom, the main character, and created some individual mimes to show his next actions, adding thought tracks afterwards. The overriding opinion is that Tom will rescue the cub! We will find out in tomorrow’s lesson…
