The gift of Jesus at Christmastime

Posted by Mrs Little on 30/11/21 at 06:22 PM

The children across the school have been busily working on a Christmas display for our school hall. Each year we try to create a piece of art to reflect the 'true meaning of Christmas' for Christians; the birth of Jesus.

It is an activity that many children look forward to and they anticipate seeing them up in the hall once completed.

This year the theme was 'the prophecies and promise of Jesus'. Each class was given a passage from the Bible that foretold the birth of Jesus- these passages are from both the Old and New Testament. They were also given the idea of an image linked to that promise and created it as a year group project.

The images are in the order that they appeared in the Bible, ending with the star that led to Jesus.

The final result, as I am sure you will agree, is stunning. Each class have done a fantastic job and the hall is already starting to feel more Christmassy! We hope you enjoy looking at our decoration as much as we enjoyed making them.
