St Paul’s Pupils Visit the Easter Prayer Garden
This week classes from the school have been visiting St Paul’s Church to spend time in the Easter Prayer Garden. The children had the opportunity to quietly reflect on the Easter story by reenacting the Garden of Gethsemane and the Last Supper. Classes shared bread and ‘wine’ and talked about how Jesus may have been feeling. Pupils also empathised with Jesus whilst he was waiting in the Garden of Gethsemane to be arrested. It was a fantastic experience for all pupils of all ages. It brought the Easter Story alive to our children. The children also thought about a wish for mankind, they then wrote or drew these on sticky notes and presented them to the cross. The prayer garden was a spiritual and humbling experience for the children and we would like to thank the church for providing such a special place. For more pictures please click here.
