Good roots run deep

On Thursday pupils in Year 1 and Year 3 helped to plant spring bulbs in an overgrown piece of land next to the park, between our school sites.  Earlier in the month council workers cut back the shrubs.  The Friends of St Paul's Rec donated two big sacks of spring bulbs.  Our premises team broke up the compacted earth and the children helped to plant a mixture of spring bulbs.  We enjoyed digging, finding stones, roots and worms as we planted the bulbs.  With luck the bulbs will sprout and we will enjoy the blooms over the next few years.
