Skipping into a new school year

Today we launched our 'Skipping Wednesdays'. At morning and afternoon break on a Wednesday the children now have a large amount of skipping ropes to enjoy: some are individually sized, some are for small groups and we hope to soon have some longer ropes for more children to jump at once. The children were really excited about the new equipment and were competing against each other to see how many skips they could do in a minute; teaching each other how to skip and making up their own jumping games.
It was fantastic to see so many of the children joining in and we are sure this will be something they continue to enjoy.
