Sketching Famous London Landmarks
In 3C we are learning about different artists and their unique artistic styles. First artist that we looked at is Canaletto - an Italian topographical painter whose masterful expression of atmosphere in his detailed views of Venice and London and of English country homes influenced succeeding generations of landscape artists. Following his style, the children sketched their own version of famous London landmarks using basic skills including the ability to recognise edges, understanding the proportion, perspective of drawing, different colour schemes and putting the thought together.Having artistic sense enables the children to look at things from different perspectives and notice the minor details. This helps them achieve extraordinary results. Well done 3C!
