Good roots run deep

In Topic lessons we have been discussing the importance of the river Nile. One of the interesting inventions we learned about was shaduf – a device the Egyptians used to access water from the river Nile. Children were asked to build one using art straws and Blu tack. Next week’s challenge will be to build a wooden shaduf.
