The theme in PE was 'Dance' and the children learned how to dance like Roman warriors. the pupils performed the actions in response to the following commands:

  • Into battle: march around the space
  • Attack: lunge around the space
  • Cavalry: gallop around the space
  • Column: straight jump on the spot
  • Arch: hold a balance in the shape of an arch

The children learned to listen to everyone’s ideas and decide as a group what to do. Dance improves sensitivity, understanding, appreciation, and consideration for others, both for their similarities and differences.
