Reception take a walk to the river

Posted by Mrs Riley on 15/06/22 at 08:21 AM

On Friday, Reception went on a walk to see the River Thames. In class we had been thinking about Brentford and London and had identified famous landmarks.

Whilst at the river, we talked about the things that we could see including the boat, Kew Bridge and the ait (the little island). The children were fascinated by the people paddle boarding and the geese, who were very disappointed that we forgot the bread!

As a treat we also went into the playground, which has been recently redeveloped, and enjoyed stretching our legs on the large climbing frame.
