Reception explore positional language

This week in Maths, we have been focusing on positional language.
On Tuesday the children explored the concept practically; moving the teddy bear under, over, behind, to the side and in front of a box. They also took turns moving into different positions.
Today, we looked at maps and they created their own maps which included landmarks for someone to travel around. The children confidently used a range of positional language to describe the actions required to find the treasure.
