Make Music Day in 1S!
Today the children showed of their musical talents.
In the morning, the children listened to the song ‘Stand by Me’ by Ben E. King. They then discussed how the song made them feel, which instruments they could hear and what it made them think of. All children participated brilliantly and had lots of fun when it came to playing the song using percussion instruments. They were able to play along in time to the pulse of the song and also sing along to the chorus.
In the afternoon, the children learnt more about the musician Ben E. King. They learnt lots about his life, recording their favourite facts onto paper, and then had a go at drawing his portrait. Take a look at the fantastic work!
It was a music filled day and the children had a brilliant time. Well done 1S!
