East Hounslow Athletics Competition
On Friday a group of Year 5 and 6 pupils participated in the East Hounslow Athletics Competition at Chiswick School. Despite the journey there being a bit more complicated than planned due to train cancellations and bus strikes, we made it in time to compete in a range of field and track events.
The children were all fantastic and supported each other brilliantly. They were also incredibly well-behaved and sensible. Although some of the competition in the field events was tough, the children really came into their own during the track events. We came second in multiple races, and some of the children took part in events, such as hurdles, that they had never done before. I was so proud of each and every one of them and the determination and spirit they showed.
Now we have to wait and see whether we made it into the finals for East Hounslow- fingers crossed!
