Coding in Year 1

In computing, the children have been learning about coding and how to program an object to move in a certain way.
To start with, they practised coding using the iPads and had a go at using directional language to describe which way object was moving. Once confident, they designed their own map on paper and then brought it to life using Lego and blocks. Working together, they then had to program the Beebots to move around the map and avoid the obstacles!
The children worked brilliantly together and had lots of fun!
