Christmas Has Come to 1S!

Recently, lots of different things have been appearing in the classroom.

The children helped to create an advent calendar for the classroom. As a class, they spoke about the different ways Christians prepare for Christmas. The children came up with many different ideas including, lighting an advent candle, cleaning and tidying their houses and putting up decorations. They each were given a piece of paper and drew a picture of how they get ready for Christmas. Each day we take off a bauble and reveal a child's drawing!

Also, a group of children have been working hard to create a class snowman! They used balloons, toilet roll and water to create him, as well as a carrot for his nose and sticks for his arms. Thank you Jehovani, Jasmine and Lana for Snowy the Snowman!

Finally, a cheeky elf has appeared in the classroom. So far he has rearranged displays, muddled up Miss Scott's Mr Man books and built himself a lego car! Who knows what he will get up to next...
