Celebrating Authors during Black History Month

Today 6L were introduced to some new books for the class library, all bought to celebrate Black History Month. We are exploring Black authors and their stories, as well as enjoying learning about new characters. The books look incredibly interesting and emphasise the importance of diversity within characters in children's literature.
Alongside these books we will be finding out more about the authors and contacting some successful Black authors to find out more about their lives, journeys and challenges.
