Catch up tuition gets underway
On Monday, two tutors, Ms Wagner and Ms Dunys joined us to start catch-up tuition for pupils in our school. Over this term more than 100 children will receive 15 hours of tuition to help with English or maths in school. The children have been very excited to start their work with our tutors. We also have two catch up teaching assistants Ms Teixeira and Ms Ammah who will work with different groups of children across the school to support with their catch up needs.
Catch up provision is designed to help with the disruption to learning caused by the COVID pandemic. All children across the school will receive support in class. The teachers have carefully assessed and are adapting and developing their lessons to meet to whole class and large group needs. Tuition and support from the teaching assistants will be directed to specific children.
