Anglo-Saxon Laws
Year 6 have been doing brilliantly with their remote learning- we have a great time on our daily meets and the children are full of fantastic ideas and questions. It took some time to get used to completing work on Google Classroom but the children are near experts now and find lots of creative ways of handing in their work.
We have really enjoyed learning about the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons this half term. For one of our lessons the children had to imagine they were King Alfred and create a set of laws and punishments for England. The children loved this task and really showed their authoritative sides! Many of the punishments are quite gruesome and harsh (so be warned!) but it shows a great understanding of the time and their enthusiasm for the activity. One thing we could all agree on was we would definitely try very hard not to break the laws if they were in charge!
