2V’s World Book Day Celebrations!

2V had a great day last Thursday celebrating the 25th Anniversary of World Book Day.
We came in dressed up as some of our favourite characters and really enjoyed the whole school parade where we could admire everyone's costumes!
At 11 am, we joined in with a live broadcast from the BBC. We learned about how different authors and illustrators go about their work.
One of the learning prompts from the live lesson was think about the character names 'Horace Froglet' and 'Paris Battersby' and create illustrations based on what images those names conjure for us. We thought carefully and were quite creative.
